Lisa & Henry
THE BARNS AT REDCOATS
HITCHIN
I had the absolute pleasure of shooting Lisa and Henry’s wedding at The Barn at Redcoats, and wow, what a day it was! Despite the unpredictable weather, their celebration was filled with so many unforgettable moments and gorgeous details. Let’s start with Lisa. She looked stunning in her halter neck dress from Ivory & Lace. It was simple yet elegant, just perfect. Molly Neale did a fantastic job with her makeup, and Lauren Claire nailed it with her hair. But let’s talk about Lisa’s shoes….oh my goodness, those green velvet shoes from Harriet Wilde were to die for, I was obsessed and was checking to see if they were my size the moment I laid eyes on them! Henry, his best man and the maid of honour, were all decked out in navy and with the flowers from Phlox Designs being a beautiful mix of pinks, lilacs, and purples, it tied everything together perfectly and really popped. One of the most memorable highlights was the unique ring bearer – an owl! This feathered guest stole the show, charming everyone with her presence. After the ceremony, the guests had the chance to meet her up close, and it was as if a celebrity had arrived, the joy and surprise on everyone’s faces were priceless. The weather decided to play tricks on us with some rain, but eventually, the sun came out, making the day even more beautiful. As the clouds cleared, James Burwell started playing his saxophone, filling the air with smooth, relaxing vibes. It was the perfect soundtrack for the afternoon. And then there was the cake… Wisteria Lane and Baking Co created an incredibly pretty cake that was the centerpiece of the reception, it looked almost too good to eat!
Personal Highlight:
One of my absolute favourite parts was finding out there were not just one, but two owls – including an adorable little owlet named Spud. He looked just like a real-life Furby, and I was very tempted to take him home to live in my sock drawer. So cute!
