fanhams hall
Arriving at the gorgeous Fanhams Hall made me realise why I simply love shooting a Autumn wedding. All the colours of the leaves and that lovely lower, golden light all day long, there is no beating it.
Anyway on arrival I met the lovely Lauren from Victoria + Claire, where she was beavering away in the ceremony room building the most gorgeous flower arch. Full of seasonal flowers and stunning bright colours, I knew it would make a lovely back drop for Carly & Shaun’s nuptials.
Then to find Carly where she was getting ready with Brides by Demi on make-up and the incredible Narad Kutowaroo doing her hair (which looked insane btw). All the small girls had beautiful little matching dresses and Carly’s gown was by Brides of Berko, stop the press, she looked like a film star!!
The ceremony was lovely, with golden chandeliers twinkling, and the gorgeous bright flowers, it was a beautiful setting for them to tie the knot. We then headed out for confetti and drinks where the British weather served up again with blue skies and a LOT of wind (which made for great dramatic veil shots).
The rest of the day pans out beautifully, couple shots, a few family groups, lots of hugs, drinks and capturing it all with lovely Holly from Your Content Captured.
Speeches followed all the day time celebrations, a few tears remembering special family members but a lot of laughs from the best men and even the grooms mum. A Champagne spray, dancing away to Wedding DJ Herts on the decks and some Photo Booth fun saw this wedding go well into the night. It was a day mixed with all the great ingredients, laughter, emotion, good food, love and happiness. Thanks for having me along guys, it was a pleasure to shoot.
Personal Highlight:
It has to be the way the couple chose to include Shauns Dad by setting up a chair and a picture for him in the ceremony. It’s always so hard thinking about the people that aren’t with us on your big day but doing little things like this are really beautiful.
