Jess & Jack
THE BARNS AT REDCOATS
HITCHIN
September is a magical month for weddings, with there being gorgeous colours on offer and lovely low sun, (when it shows up). Jess & Jack’s wedding at The Barns at Redcoats had all the September elements I could have wished for. Jess had an amazing beaut squad consisting of Lorella Marella make-up artist and Polly bridal hair fixing the barnett perfectly into place with gorgeous Hollywood curls. As guests arrived, they were greeted by a beautiful ceremony setup featuring magnificent bloom trees by Light Up Love and vibrant floral arrangements by Tanya from Apple Blossom Flowers. Once wed the couple were greeted by their beloved corgi, Milly. Waggy tales and some dog kisses were welcomed by the couple and of course she was going to feature heavily in their couple shots (she had a fresh shampoo especially for the occasion). Sunshine graced the whole day meaning guests could chill in the garden with drinks and canapés whilst listening to the incredible Roxy Searle. The guests were also treated to the infamous Lee Smith and his incredible magic. Speeches consisted of the traditional three speakers but Jess’s mum made a memorable speech, (without speaking) it was a great surprise and a total nod to the move ‘Love Actually’. After a delicious dinner and lovely cake by J Bales Cakes everybody played the “Mr. and Mrs.” game hosted by DJ Mike Readings, guests were laughing, crying and loving learning more about the couple. We hit up golden hour to get some beautiful couple shots on the hay bales before heading back to the barn for the dancing. The partying went way into the night, a cracking day from start to finish.
Personal Highlight:
When I met Jess in the morning she said ‘Ah Milly is ok she is chilling in another room watching Netflix’, I responded surprised and mentioned I didn’t know she had a daughter to Jess explaining it was her and Jack’s corgi, Milly. MILLY (sorry to the couple) was the total highlight for me, a lot less diva than I imagined and bought her photo mojo!
