BURNINGFOLD MANOR

When arriving at Kate’s family home the kindness of everyone was so infectious. I was invited in and felt like I was arriving at a friend’s for a lunch. Simply lovely, warm kind people.

Kate and her gang were all getting beautified by Lucent Hair and Make up, both chairs were full of laughter and stories being shared by everyone. Kate wore a stunning gown by Miss Bush Bridal, it was simply perfect for her. All Kate’s bridesmaids wore a lovely blush pink colour and her bridesmaid wore a waistcoat in the same colour. Once all ready and after an emotional first look we headed to church in a fab vintage car which Kate’s dad had planned as a surprise.

The bridal party headed there in an old VW camper and as they got out with their beautiful bouquets by Bunch Lane Florist it was an array of wild, colourful happiness. To top off the blooms the florist had built a beautiful arch over the church door.

After a beautiful ceremony, lots of hugs and an epic confetti tunnel it was time to head to the gorgeous venue Burningfold Manor. The overwhelm quickly set in for me when I arrived, it was just full of beautiful gardens and spots to take photos in. The old Manor was the perfect backdrop for mingling, drinks and canapés.

Next it was onto dinner, which was by the amazing caterers Eat The Street. The tables all looked beautiful with personalised stationary, flowers and banqueting style layout. It was a stunning setting to enjoy both emotional and hilarious speeches.

The next part of the wedding was cocktail hour by the pool. I mean honestly it was feeling more like a Bordeaux affair that a wedding in Surrey, what lucky lucky guests to share this day with the couple. it was the most stunning evening with perfect cocktails and a big cake table (with all the cakes being made by guests).

The final part of the day concluded with dancing in the barn, with the tunes of Eddie & The Murphy’s band it was sure to get everyone busting some moves.

It was such an honour to shoot this day. People let you in to their most precious and vulnerable moments. I would like to dedicate this blog post to Kate’s mum who sadly passed away earlier this year. I didn’t meet her but I heard so much about her on the day and it certainly felt like she was there in church with the brightest beam of light I have ever seen. A highly emotional day for all but an incredibly special one.

Personal Highlight:

It had to be the impromptu pool party. Myself, the couple and videographer went off to get some sunset shots to return to lots of guests with their feet in the pool and some guests leaping in in pants. It certainly was a great cool down not to mention made for some fun piccies.
