ELLIE & HARRY

GATE STREET BARN

Well what a day this was to be a part of. Temperatures reached a record high of 37 degrees where the wedding was but Ellie & Harry weren’t phased by the heat. All of the couples friends and family gathered at the beautiful venue Gate Street Barn where they hosted the ceremony, reception and had lots of people stay the night too. I can totally see why they chose this venue from start to finish, it had such a home from home feel and was perfect for their international guests to attend this stunning wedding.

Ellie was tucked away with her bridesmaids in her own little suite getting hair and make up done by Nadia from Petal Blush. Wearing cute little flats and a gorgeous gown with dropped shoulders, Ellie looked just perfect.

With the boys being on site getting ready too I also managed to capture some of their prep, including Harry reading a very emotional letter from his wife to be. He had some time with his ushers too before it was kick off time in the barn for the couples nuptials.

The barn looked stunning and had been fully decked out with blooms by Gill Pike Florsit’s. The bouquets, button holes, later the table decs, all the flowers looked stunning. A mix of bright blooms that set off this summers day just perfectly.

The drinks reception commenced with the couples signature cocktails and bags of crisps all round. We managed to explore lots of the grounds allowing the couple a few minutes to catch up whilst capturing them in these beautiful surroundings.

The speeches were all so so good. The best men (yes Harry had two) both did a speech individually and both were so different but absolutely epic in their own right. The dinner was supplied by Earth Catering and I was indeed lucky enough to sample the full meal and I can confirm the food was insane. All gusts were delighted by such a feast but even more happy to know it was followed by a retro sweetie cart and M&S Colin and Connie cakes (minis and mega’s). In my opinion these definitely are the best cakes EVER and clearly Harry and Ellie felt the same.

The evening was soundtracked by Chris from Chess Disco and he certainly got the crowd going. Glow up wands, glasses and great tunes ensured all guests were bound to the dancfloor. It really was a wonderful day and I felt so honoured to have shot it.

Personal Highlight:

It has to be the bubble aisle into the barn to kick off the evening. When chatting with the couple they said they really hated the thought of a first dance and I described something I done for a couple last year where they danced into the room to officially open the dancefloor. They loved the idea and ran with it and it worked so well and took the nerves away from them having to dance in front of everyone.

“Thank you so much for these, they are incredible!!  You can see from our big grins we were having the best day and you captured this perfectly 😊 ”
