IVY LODGE

A wedding between Christmas and New Year. Those days that are shorter and consist of cosy, relaxation. Well Ali and Liam couldn’t have picked a more cosy, beautiful venue for this festive time of year. Ivy Lodge is set within 100’s of acres and is a pretty spectacular building. The perfect place to host all your fave people for your wedding filled with great food, cocktails, endless entertainment and celebrations.

Myself and the fabulous Will Wood (on video) went and met Ali in The Fleece in the centre of Cirencester. A lovely old pub where she had stayed the night before with all her girls. Wearing a stunning Stephanie Allin dress and nothing other than Jimmy Choo shoes she was always desting to be a vision. With the help of Andrea Luelle on hair and Amy Rose Macdonald on make up there wasn't going to be a dry eye when she was revealed to her girl gang and Dad. With the boys only being across the road in another gorgeous pub, we managed to get in a little groom prep before heading to The Ivy for the nuptials.

All decked out by the fabulous Go Wild Flowers, in winter foliage and rich red tones, the place looked stunning. Every person that walked in was ‘wowing’.

Once the couple were married it was a cosy drinks reception by the Christmas tree, outside for group shots and a little time to explore the grounds and grab some couple shots. A true banquet was served, with big joints of meat cooked on an outdoor fire served up with some brilliant speeches.

After this came cocktail hour accompanied by a fab magician and glitzy Photo Booth by Belle Studio for all the guests to get some dress up piccies.

Before the couples first dance they did a champagne tower, (I love them but I still get nervous they will topple over hehe). The couple opened up the dance floor with an incredible band and I have no doubt this crew danced the night away. It was a real treat spending the day with such lovely people during the festive season. All the colours and cosiness of Christmas were in full flow and Ali & Liam were sheer elegance for this beautiful Christmas wedding.

Personal Highlight:

It just has to be the time of year, the Christmas tree’s, twinkly lights, gorgeous foliage and a winter fur. I feel all the guests were just having elongated Christmas celebrations with all the decadence this wedding had to offer.
