BECKY & RICHARD
ST MICHAEL’S MANOR
It’s been a while since I shot at the lovely St Miachael’s Manor. The venue being local to the couple they wanted to make it easy for guests to come and celebrate their big day with them. Mid way through October I guess you would hope you are going to get those lovely Autumnal colours and rich tones throughout nature. Well that they did! Becky and Richard absolutely lucked out on a sunny but fresh day.
Becky decided not to have a big bridal crew, just kept things simple with her daughter and other close family and friends with various roles to play. Whilst Becky was being all glammed up by Jo Penford they could all sneakily spy on guest arrivals from their balcony.
They were also keeping a look out at their beautiful outdoor ceremony spot being prepared by the talented team from Charles and Faye that were putting out gorgeous flowers. And yes, you did hear outdoor ceremony correctly, I was so excited when I was told this in the morning. Not a typical choice for an October wedding but boy did it look stunning. All that lovely natural light and the colours in the tree’s were also an absolute treat.
Once the couple were all married it was drinks and canapés on the terrace. Lots of big hugs, chatting and of course a huge amount on compliments to the couple. Becky’s stunning wedding dress (I just love a long sleeve) by Ellis Bridals and Richard’s tailored suit in velvet green by Rocha Bespoke Tailoring.
Group shots and a bit of couple time exploring the lake and heading out into the street to capture these two was fab, they just didn’t stop laughing with each other. Their banter and fun was so infectious.
After dinner speeches were given as the sun was going down and there was a lovely cosy feel to the room. After some more drinks in the bar and time for guests to catch up it was off to cut the cake, which was lovingly made by friends of the couple. The Collective Band took them well into their evening. When I left there was dancing, singing and a good ol party to top off their stunning day.
Personal Highlight:
It had to be the speeches, they were so personal but funny too. The start of Becky and Richard’s relationship was hilarious and one of their first dates was even at the hospital.
