REDCOATS BARN
Sometimes you really have no idea what a day is going to be like until you arrive. In the lead up to the wedding Holly had sent me a list of suppliers that was pretty extensive and many who I know and love.
Holly & her bridesmaids were getting ready in the bridal suit with Holly’s nan, mum and daughter it was a four generation strong girl gang all laughing together, I mean how special is that! With Tilly on beauty, Wild Card Studios on the video and Your Reel Wedding on the content creation this really was a girl heavy room and I couldn’t have been happier. Dad did manage to hold his own though when he visited for a blow dry from Poppy.
Right next we need to turn our attention to the dress, that epic dress. I was blow away when I saw it, so so stunning and then to see it on, we were all WOWED!!! The crazy talented designer is Milla Nova and Holly found her at The Wedding Shop in Colchester.
Now onto the ceremony and the barn looked insane, it was beautifully decked out in the most vibrant flowers by Willow and Blossom. Along with all the bouquets and button holes they had also done all the candles which again were perfectly colour matched to complement this gorgeous rich palleted wedding. The couple had the lovely Bec Quinn providing music at this point and also later for the dinner, what a treat all these guests got to enjoy.
A gorgeous ceremony was followed by EPIC amounts of confetti, soundtracked by the talented Lawrence Hill and some amazement by the form of magic by none other than legendary Lee Smith. Also during the drinks reception was a traditional family game the couple like to play at social gatherings. It’s where you have to try and peg a peg onto someone without them knowing. It was hard to turn a blind eye when the bride had lots of pegs along her beautiful peplum, but alas I played along. Whilst all this was going on the guests also had another treat in the way of ice cream, yes deliciousness available to all from Ice Baby. It was further treats for the kids too with a horse box full of goodies and nannies to help keep those kids occupied by Horse Box Kate.
It was then into the dinner for fabulous speeches and a barn that yet again transformed into the most stunning place for their banquet. I think there are so many crazy clever people involved for this part I am simply going to list the out. So you have Wren Ark proving plates, cutlery, glasses and runners. Napkins by Truffle Tablescapes, place names and menus by Eleanor Isobelle. At this point Cambridge Photo Booth arrived too so guests could get fun passport styles pics of themselves at this wonderful wedding.
We were blessed with low sun so took the opportunity to have some time out across the fields to get some gorgeous sunset shots. The evening then kicked off with the couple cutting a wonderful cake by Baby Bear Bakery followed by dancing along whilst Stellar band played them into the early hours.
There really isn’t much more I can say about this wonderful, colourful day that was simply JOY for every moment I was there. Thanks Holly and Andy for having me shoot your day, your moment, your family and your love!
Personal Highlight:
I am a moments girl, I loved every moment and all the love but on this occasion I am going to go with my fashion head, it has to be THE DRESS. There are just no words, myself and the other girls on video & content just couldn’t get enough of it.
