Libby & Tom

The Manor Barn
Harlton
Cambridgeshire

Libby and Tom’s big day was at The Manor Barns in Harlton (one of my favs!) and from the minute I arrived I knew it was going to be a good’un as we were already laughing before I had even got my cameras out.

I loved that they were getting ready literally a floor apart from each other. Libby was upstairs in The Hayloft with the girls, while Tom was downstairs in the Milk Shed with the boys. So close… and yet, technically, still keeping to the “don't see each other before the ceremony” rule!

The bridesmaids wore gorgeous red dresses, which Libby had perfectly matched her shoes to, the velvet and bows were an added bonus! Then you had all the pinks and reds running through the flowers by Posey Lane Florals, who absolutely smashed the brief and went above and beyond. Libby looked absolutely stunning, like an old school Hollywood movie star with her long waves by The Little Hair Boutique and her make up by Legendary Make Up. Her “something blue” was also a little different. Rather than just having a little bit of blue hidden somewhere, she had her close friends all dressed in blue, who even got a cheeky glimpse of her before she made her way down the aisle.

They had written their own vows and, oh my goodness, they absolutely got everyone. I'm still not quite sure how Tom had anything left for his speech later on. Surely after getting through those, that's your emotional quota for the day done?!

The Manor Barns is already pretty spectacular without needing much added to it, with its abundance of twinkly lights and everything being so perfectly laid out and landscaped, but being so rustic in equal measures. But then with all the extra gorgeous little details with pops of pink and red, candles on the tables and little bows on the glasses. It looked SO pretty.

The table favours were little dares for each guest to complete throughout the evening, which I thought was such a fun, silly idea. And if that doesn't tell you what sort of couple Libby and Tom are, I don't know what does. They clearly wanted everyone to have such a good giggle. It was such a brilliant crowd, everyone was just so happy, there was so much laughter and you could tell how much everyone was rooting for these two. I ended up laughing so much myself that my face actually hurt by the time I drove home.

Personal Highlight:

It HAS to be the awards ceremony after the speeches. I just loved how completely ridiculous it was. Medals for being the guests who came furthest away. Medals for being the closest. A medal for being late to RSVP, the list goes on.

And then me, proudly walking away with Best Photographer. I mean, I was the only photographer there, so technically I won by default. But that's not important…I have a medal.

“I honestly cannot put into words what an absolute joy it was to have you with us for the ride yesterday! You were absolutely perfect and went above and beyond to make the day THE BEST EVER. And I can now officially confirm that we think the same about your photography skills as well!! ”
