Hammerfest!
Stanford Farm
Shrewsbury
Stanford Farm in Shrewsbury was the perfect setting for Betty and Kelv's wedding—a day that was nothing short of a vibrant, dazzling festival! This day was a riot of color and joy, with disco balls, sunflowers, glitter, sparkles, and streamers everywhere you looked. It was a party from start to finish!
The morning kicked off with everyone getting ready right there on the farm. Everyone in huts, tents, campers, and caravans all over the place, with a super chill vibe in the air. Beers were being cracked open, people were laughing—it was the kind of morning that makes you know the day is going to be amazing.
And then there were the bridesmaids…all 48587935 of them (okay, maybe not quite that many, but you get the idea). Each one rocked a silver outfit, but no two looked the same. Every bridesmaid brought her own style to the table, creating a stunning, eclectic mix. To say I was obsessed would be an understatement. But let’s take a moment to talk about the bride herself. Betty made a statement in her silver platform Pradas—shoes that were as bold and fabulous as she is. Paired with her sequin mini dress, she completely rocked her look. You go, girl! The energy in the air was electric, especially when the girls started dancing in the kitchen before even getting dressed. It was clear from the start that this was going to be one hell of a party.
The bride's grand entrance? On a Vespa, of course. Because why not? It was the coolest way to roll up to a wedding, and so perfectly Betty. The ceremony itself was led by my good friend Zena Birch, who always knows how to make a ceremony feel special. There was singing, tears, laughter—the whole shebang. And in true party spirit, everyone did a shot right after the ceremony before walking down the aisle. Talk about kicking things off with a bang! And because Betty and Kelv know how to throw a festival, they had personalized lanyards for everyone—because, duh, you need those at a wedding like this. But the highlight? The guestbook was a toilet seat! I mean, how genius is that? It’s hilarious, memorable, and something you’ll definitely see every day.
When it came time for the wedding breakfast, the tables were decked out with hangover kits (smart move), colorful napkins, candles, pom-poms, and—you guessed it—disco balls. The vibe was pure fun. Oh, and the wedding cake? A caterpillar cake, but not just any caterpillar cake—Mr. and Mrs. Colin had a Hammerfest glow-up, making it the ultimate party centerpiece. As the night rolled on, the dance floor was kept hot by performers in disco ball outfits. The whole place was buzzing with energy, and the party didn’t stop. Betty and Kelv’s wedding was the kind of day you wish you could relive over and over—a non-stop celebration of love, laughter, and all things sparkly!
Personal Highlight:
I was buzzing to see five of my past brides and grooms at this wedding—felt like a mini reunion! Seriously, it made the day that much more awesome and like catching up with old friends!
