Georgia & Alex

Towcester

Some weddings just feel completely effortless and not because they haven't been carefully planned, but because every decision feels so natural and so true to the couple. Georgia and Alex's wedding was exactly that. Relaxed, personal and full of thoughtful touches.

I started the morning with Georgia, who was getting ready in the sweetest little cottage just a hop, skip and a jump from the church. Her bridesmaids, mum and close friend Tanisha (who was busy working her magic on everyone's hair) were all there, and it had such a lovely atmosphere, relaxed, excited, full of laughter and a good spread to keep everyone fueled! It's no secret that I absolutely love mismatched bridesmaid dresses and Georgia had picked such a gorgeous colour palette for her girls and they looked amazing together while still feeling completely individual. And speaking of gorgeous dresses, I couldn't have imagined a more perfect choice for her. Her House of CB gown felt effortlessly stylish and suited her down to the ground. I also loved that it didn't have a train, given the weather, it meant there was no soggy hem trailing behind her all day! One of the nicest things about the morning was how close everything was. When it came time to leave, Georgia practically just had to wander up the garden path in her crocs (before slipping into something more chic) to get married.

After the ceremony, everyone made the very short journey…around twenty steps down the road to Towcester Mill Brewery. Rather than hiring a traditional wedding venue, they took over one of the upper floors of the brewery, a place that holds a special spot in their hearts. Alongside their beloved pup, they spend a lot of time there (I think we're talking several visits a week territory!), so being able to fill it with all of their favourite people for their wedding day felt pretty special. It's not often you get to celebrate one of the biggest days of your life somewhere that already holds so many happy memories. The space looked incredible, candlesticks lined the tables, homemade flower arrangements, ribbon garlands hung from the beams, and there were even custom-made beer mats featuring their fur baby. It felt relaxed and personal, exactly what Georgia and Alex wanted. Guests were free to sit wherever they liked, creating a warm and laid-back atmosphere from the moment everyone arrived after church. Later everyone tucked into delicious pizzas from Nonna Lucia's, followed by an impressive selection of homemade cakes and sweet treats lovingly provided by family and friends.

As evening arrived, Night Shift took to the stage and wow, this lot know how to party! The dance floor was packed for hours and easily ranks as one of the best dance floors I've ever photographed. There wasn't a moment when it wasn't absolutely heaving with people throwing shapes, singing along and having the best time!

Personal Highlight:

I've photographed a lot of weddings over the years and I can say with some confidence that Georgia’s air guitar performance may well be the current world champion. The commitment was extraordinary. The facial expressions. The stage presence. The sheer belief in what she was doing. 10/10. No Notes. Would watch again.

“We are Obsessed. Honestly you’re a magician. Thanks so much again!!”
