Catherine & Jasper
Margaretta House, King’s Lynn
When I arrived at Margaretta House things were already in full swing. Kids were running around, the kitchen was busy cooking up brunch and canapés, someone was playing the piano, and a few friends were out in the garden picking flowers to make their own arrangements. It was a chaotic, but in the best, most heartwarming way – proper wedding day energy. Catherine, meanwhile, had managed to find the calmest spot in the house. She was tucked away upstairs, getting ready with Evie Riley from Amanda Steed Make Up. From where she was sat, you could look out and see all the hustle and bustle happening below but she was chill, having her hair and makeup done in peace whilst sipping on English bubbles no less. It wasn’t long before she was out of her jeans and into her dress and honestly, what a transformation. Her Catherine Deane gown was seriously gorgeous, vintage-y and elegant, it had this Great Gatsby feel to it. She looked amazing!
The ceremony itself was super special and lovely. Catherine literally just walked down the staircase, out the back door, and into the garden where Jasper was waiting. It felt so intimate. With so many guests who had travelled in from all over the world, I couldn’t help thinking how special it must’ve been for them – tucked away in the Norfolk countryside, watching two people they love get married in such a beautiful setting. And in true British fashion, just as they were exchanging vows, it started to rain. But luckily, we were all under the tent, so it didn’t really matter, if anything, it added to the magic. Then, as if someone planned it, the rain stopped just in time for drinks on the lawn and lots of catching up with friends.
Afterwards, everyone headed into the marquee for dinner – Ginger Lily Catering put on an absolute spread. Jasper’s niece sang before the speeches, which was such a sweet touch and had everyone smiling.Later on, the rain came back (of course), but it didn’t stop anyone from dancing and having a great time. The marquee kept everyone dry and the atmosphere was just spot on – relaxed, joyful, and full of that ‘just married’ glow.
Personal Highlight:
One of the highlights for me was getting to photograph the very first wedding ever hosted at Margaretta House and hopefully not the last! Wishing them all the best and fingers crossed for plenty of bookings in 2026 and beyond!
