Kelsey & Aaron
TYTHE BARN
Well it’s back to Tythe Barn I go for the wonderful wedding of Kelsey & Aaron. It wasn’t just a return to the venue, it was working with some of my fave peeps (well four in fact but I will get to some of them later). Running the whole show like precision clockwork and supporting the couple in every which way was Acorn and Oak, aka Dani.
Kelsey and her crew of six bridesmaids all got ready in the Nook (the brides little hideout), getting beautified by Lucy on the hair and Meghan on make-up. They had full on stations, lighting and a well oiled system for getting this glam squad in the chair and out looking insane.
Whilst this was going on Kate from Kate Marie Events and Stying was decking out the barn ready for the nuptials. It wasn’t just any little details, this was opulent golds, mini newspapers with fun facts about the couple and of course a colour palette of dreams. With Chloe from Floral Roots on blooms, it was never going to be understated or low key. Nope, these flowers were bright, bold and with each bridesmaid having a different flower, they were always going to make a statement in their own right.
Once the couple had tied the knot it was out for drinks on the lawn and being serenaded by Kyri on the sax. Whilst guests enjoyed being sketched by illustrator Megan Monks, we headed off for some pics with the gorgeous little furr baby Saint, he had also donned his best outfit for the big day.
The barn had been transformed into a colourful dream for the second time for dinner and some very emotional speeches. The cake by J Bakes Cakes was cut, the sparkler runway commenced and then everyone headed in to party via a little trip to the Hoof Booth for some photo fun (with Rod Stuart I might add……don’t ask).
It was a fun and vibrant wedding to shoot, a lovely crowd that wanted to amerce themselves in all the excitement a wedding has to offer. Thanks for having me shoot this wonderful day.
Personal Highlight:
A seat that had been laid for the grooms mum who is sadly passed away. It was a very moving touch and a lovely nod to someone that you can only hope is with you in spirit.
