Georgie & Tom

West Wittering

West Wittering or the south of France?! Honestly, you’d be forgiven for thinking we’d hopped on a plane to the Riviera, the weather was so good! Sunshine and blue skies, the dream conditions for a beachside wedding, and Georgie & Tom well and truly nailed it.

The day kicked off at the local church, which was looking absolutely stunning thanks to the beautiful floral arch by the ever-talented Sage & Season. Think romantic, natural, slightly wild, and be sure to scroll down to see what they did at the reception too, stunning!. Speaking of stunning Georgie’s “something blue”, a pair of Manolo Blahniks, indeed Carrie Bradshaws favourite! And then there was the gorgeous dress by Morgan Davies Bridal. Georgie didn’t just do the one wedding dress, she went full Vogue editorial with FOUR stunning looks. Starting with a romantic lacy Bardot number, moving into a chic strapless gown for the reception, and finishing with a sparkly sequin party piece that was made for dancing. And of course let’s not leave the dapper groom out, looking wonderful in his suit and a handmade waistcoat by Kipper & Chalk, a tailor and family friend of the bride.

From the church, it was back to Georgie’s family home for the reception, which made everything feel that extra bit personal and special. The drinks reception was on the beach, where guests sipped champagne enjoyed oysters from Oyster Meister and canapés from Eat the Street with their toes in the sand.

Now let’s talk about that marquee. Set up in the garden, it was a total showstopper, a clear roof Arundel Marquee (yes to making the most of those blue skies), styled with nods to a nautical theme. Think soft blue linens, ocean-inspired glassware, and delicate named shells dotted between vases overflowing with herbs and flowers. The whole look was effortlessly stylish and the perfect setting for guests to enjoy a banquet and speeches. And tying it all together, the dream planner Matilda Wilson Events pulled off the perfectly planned day leaving nothing for this couple to worry or think about.

The speeches were just the right mix of emotional and hilarious, filled with nostalgic tales and heartfelt moments. As the sun dipped lower, the whole place turned properly magical. Fairy lights twinkled across the marquee and the dance floor kicked off in style under the stars. Usually a beach wedding would be aboard for me but getting to visit and shoot in this beautiful part of the world was a total treat.

Personal Highlight:

Riding shotgun with the bride’s uncle in an old-school Defender en route to the church was amazing. The whole bridal party rocked up in a convoy of beautifully vintage family and friends’ cars and it was lovely to see all the cute kids piled in the back so excited. And of course, shooting on the beach with the South Coast breeze was an absolute dream. Not really one highlight as there were just so many.

“Ahhh! Thank you so so so much Binky - we love them and thank you for being a total super star on the day xxx”
