Jenie & Tommy
Woodland Hollow
The day started in the best way possible, calm, full of love, and with a proper breakfast. Jen got ready at a close friend’s house, surrounded by her girls, the whole morning had this beautifully relaxed energy that just set the tone for everything that followed. Jen did her own glam and she absolutely nailed it. She was a total boho dream in her Coast dress and head piece by Hannah Headwear. If you know me, you know I blooming love a gold platform heel and I love ASOS too which is where Jenie got them from. It’s great to see a bride on high street buys.
When I arrived at Woodland Hollow, I was immediately greeted by the most incredible bar setup from Jolly Hucksters and let’s be honest, that's always a strong sign you're in for a good day. They know how to make a statement, and I was already picturing guests dancing with cocktails in hand.
The ceremony itself was just beautiful. Held outdoors under the trees, it wasn’t your typical “walk down the aisle with a bouquet” moment. Jen chose a smudging ritual instead as she made her way along a guest-lined path to Tommy, an incredibly moving and symbolic choice that had everyone completely present in the moment.
Their celebrant, the brilliant Willow Nash, led a ceremony that was deeply personal, spiritual, and full of meaning. No recycled vows here, every word was crafted to reflect their love, their ancestors, and the journey they’re on together. Guests were invited to stand in a circle around them, symbolising unity, wholeness and the infinite nature of love. It felt sacred and entirely unique to them.
Afterwards, it was time for the feast—and let me tell you, Kemp and Kemp Food did not mess about. Rather than traditional speeches it was open mic, they opened the floor for guests to share funny and emotional stories, there were plenty of happy tears and belly laughs. All this took place in the lovely marquee supplied by Country Tipis.
As if the day hadn’t already been dreamy enough, golden hour rolled in like it had been personally booked. We snuck off for a little wander to make the most of it—just the three of us and that magic light. Jenie and Tommy’s wedding wasn’t about following trends or ticking boxes, it was real, raw, joy-filled and totally true to who they are. The kind of day that reminds me exactly why I love doing this.
Personal Highlight:
It had to be the humanist ceremony. Jeni e & tommy had all their fave people around them and they stood at each end of the forest and looked at each other before the Music CRESCENDOED and they walked to meet in the middle, it was very moving.
