AMY & RICHIE

Woodville Weddings

Trust me when I say this…you really, really, really, really, really would have wanted to be a guest at this wedding. Honestly, if there were ever a wedding to crash, this was the one! Think festival vibes galore, endless games, drinks, snacks, a woodland ceremony and the Woodville Weddings tipi in the heart of the countryside. A true escape from the world, like Glasto, but with way less porto-loos and more pompoms!

I skipped the usual bridal prep for this one and headed straight to the venue to find groom prep happening in a bell tent! It was giving festival morning-after, but with better outfits. I was also absolutely buzzing when Amy arrived with her parents and bestie whilst all the guests were hidden away in the woods waiting for her grand entrance. She looked like a dream in her Bodice & Bustle dress, topped off with a flower crown that belonged to her mum on her wedding day.

The ceremony itself was tucked away in the heart of the woods, and it couldn’t have been more perfect thanks to the creative genius that is Black Space Events. She completely nailed Amy and Richie’s vision, transforming the woodland into a riot of joy. There wasn’t a single splash of colour missing, we’re talking bunting, flowers, disco balls and streamers. They had glorious sunshine and the whole thing was lovingly officiated by a close friend, with heartfelt readings that had everyone welling up. But my absolute fave twist had to be the rings! Instead of a traditional ring bearer, Amy and Richie put little boxes on everyone’s chairs, but only one box had the rings inside, letting fate call the shots! When it came time to find out who had them, the boxes were opened, and I kid you not the rings were with the best man! A complete fluke, you couldn’t write but it was meant to be!

Post-confetti everyone strolled through the trees back to the tipi, where Pimm’s was flowing and guests literally fished for their own packets of crisps, a snack game-changer! Then came the food, and oh my goodness, Cantina Carnitas served up the most incredible Lebanese spread, and I’m not being dramatic when I say I’m still dreaming about those falafel balls….words I never thought I’d type, but here we are. After some wonderfully touching and hilarious speeches (which also featured an unexpected guest appearance from Amy’s childhood teddy Rosie) it was straight into UNLIMITED ice cream from Ice Baby, more games in the golden evening sunshine, and the ultimate Father-of-the-Bride-hosted quiz. It was silly, it was chaotic, it was brilliant. The whole day ran like a dream, all thanks to ABI Entertainment, who made sure everything stayed on track while still letting the party vibes flow.

Personal Highlight:

Just as the sun dipped behind the trees, Amy and Richie had an impromptu first dance outside the tipi which their guests soon joining in afterwards. Sunset magic at its very finest and totally unforgettable!
